From July 29 to August 1, 2025, the acceptance work of the three-layer co-extrusion blown film machine online thickness measurement system, a cooperation between HWYAA MACHINERY and Scandex Company, was successfully completed.

After the 3FM1600 packaging film equipment produced by HWYAA MACHINERY is equipped with Scandex's online automatic film thickness control system, the uniformity of product thickness has been significantly improved, achieving a leapfrog breakthrough in product quality.

The basic equipment configuration of the blown film machine is as follows: 3 sets of 75 main machines (37KW motors), a φ350 three-layer co-extrusion die matched with an IBC internal cooling system, an upper traction rotation system, and a three-in-one automatic winding machine.

The data of Scandex's film thickness control system ULO3 equipment are: scanning accuracy: accurate to 0.01μm; scanning speed: 100mm/second. Its control method: by reading the angle and linear speed of the rotating frame, the two layers of film are decomposed and displayed on the computer through calculation, and then the corresponding section is adjusted through 48 air ring heating points.

Through the joint efforts of Scandex engineers and HWYAA MACHINERY technicians, after testing, the thickness deviation of the finished film produced by the equipment under the standard air ring cooling state is -6.3%/+7.2%; the details are as shown in the following figure:

After enabling the Scandex automatic thickness measurement control system, the thickness deviation of the finished film is -4.5%/+3%; the details are as shown in the following figure (including the actual measurement diagram):

After using the Scandex automatic thickness measurement control system, the thickness fluctuation is reduced from ±7.2% to ±4.5%.
